The Federal Government made funds available through the Department of Housing and Urban Development to assist people in rental units who may be facing a housing or utility crisis. Through the Recovery Act, our trained and dedicated staff are proud to bring this opportunity to our area and look forward to providing program participants the help they need as they regain housing stability.
The Housing Assistance and Support Program is meant to help families maintain housing stability during economic hard-times by providing financial and case management support. This is accomplished by working with HASP staff to develop an outcome-based plan of action to address immediate needs and identify and achieve long-term solutions.
Once funding is provided, families are required to maintain monthly contact with case manager. Case manager support is provided for families with many issues that concern their housing stability. An Individualized Service Plan (ISP) will be developed for each family that will provide stability and develop outcome-based goals to achieve and/or maintain long-term housing stability.
