Opportunities for Broome contributes to the economic and social development of Broome County and its surrounding communities through the provision of comprehensive services that include emergency assistance, advocacy, early education, and safe and affordable housing. Each year, thousands of American children are expelled from preschool, many because of behavioral issues related to trauma they have already experienced in their short lives. We are very happy to announce that the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) has awarded a $3,482,479 Million Grant to Opportunities for Broome (OFB). The total amount of the project is estimated at $3,570,479. The remaining $88,000 in funding is being provided by Tioga Opportunities/Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP).  The Grant is part of OTDA’s Homeless Housing and Assistance Program (HHAP).
